It's like a giant heavy-duty cheese cutter! Stick the block of clay (up to 12" wide) on your work surface, then quickly cut slabs from the top surface using the roller guide to determine the slab's thickness. The adjustable guide roller's axle serves as a tensioning mechanism to keep the wire taut. The wing nuts on the side secure the relative position of the roller to the wire.
